Gothic Light is a vapour that surrounds us. The Dark Rider travels through the forest on an endless journey, for she has a gift. Only she can see the gothic light as it encompasses the passage between heaven and hell.
I always try to paint stories that are mysterious. If I have something to think about when I'm painting it helps me visualise what I'm trying to bring through in the art work. I spent a couple of weeks on this image, and eventually got it finished doing a bit here and there, as other paintings would come and go. I think idea, is very important, even more important than a painters style. And I alwayd looking for new ideas in everyhting in life.
I'm still working on painting better hair. I'm also trying to achieve a more wet paint feel in some areas, but I always tend to airbrush everything. Any thoughts on this image would be appreciated and I hope you enjoy the painting.
